Emma is the founder and creative director of Good Thunder. She studied Communication Design at Massey University in Wellington and went on to work across advertising agencies in Auckland, Vancouver and California before starting the studio in 2016. A decade of working with businesses across New Zealand and North America has given her a broad frame of reference and a sharp instinct for what a brand actually needs. She asks harder questions than clients expect and has a way of getting to the real brief quickly. The work that follows tends to reflect that. Heather has been with Good Thunder since the early days and her work runs through most of what you see in the portfolio. She is a senior designer with a broad range, equally at home on a trade business rebrand as she is on a high end luxury property campaign or a female service brand. She brings warmth and strategic thinking to every brief. Victoria is a senior graphic designer with a deep appreciation for packaging intricacies and specialty printing techniques. With expertise spanning publications, packaging, signwriting, and brand development, she brings precision and creativity to every project. Her meticulous attention to detail, shaped by extensive experience in medical packaging, ensures accuracy down to the last barcode. Dedicated to brand stewardship, Victoria crafts visual assets that look the part and work seamlessly within each client’s identity and needs.

This is Isaac. He writes and thinks, and talks about writing and thinking. He’s done this for all kinds of brands, across all kinds of mediums, and picked up a bunch of awards along the way. Words need to work hard, sound natural, and sometimes, do the heavy lifting. Nothing delivers results and creates likability like great writing and Isaac can help make sure you get both.

Matt is the business lead at Good Thunder. With a background in civil engineering, Matt brings a unique skill set to our team. His engineering mind makes him the go-to person for tackling strategic challenges with a balanced and innovative approach. Composed and reliable, Matt manages our daily operations, maintaining high standards across everything we do.

Katie keeps Good Thunder running properly so the creative work can actually happen. She handles the end-of-month, the invoicing, the quoting, the project management and the correspondence that holds everything together behind the scenes. When something needs chasing, sorting or thinking through, Katie is already on it. She is practical, warm and remarkably unflappable, which makes her exactly the right person to have alongside a creative director. Clients who deal with Katie will find her responsive, straightforward and easy to work with. Everyone else at Good Thunder will tell you she is the reason things don't fall through the cracks.
